Dismiss All Doubt
"When I am afraid, I put my trust in
thee. In God, whose word I praise, in God
I trust without a fear. What can flesh do
to me?" (1)
"For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. He only is my rock
and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not
be shaken. On God rests my deliverance and
my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour
out your heart before him; God is a refuge
for us." (2)
Trust His Hand
My Lord, I've doubted in Your grace:
I tried to strike out on my own;
But soon I fell on a small stone,
And fell, prostrated, in my place.
Doubt is my lack of confidence
Which saps the strength of saving grace;
If I am e'er to win this race,
I must place trust in Providence!
My Lord, I cut these cords of doubt,
Which tied Your hands within my soul,
When I would not give You control:
I trust in You; please help me out!
For You are Lord of all my sin;
You hold the keys of life and death,
And watch over my ev'ry breath:
With You in charge, I'll surely win!
This sin of doubt can't be ignored;
The Lord, our Living God is near:
So rest your wrinkled brow of fear
And trust the Hand of Mighty Lord!
