Love Reigns In Peace

"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near in the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end." (1)

"I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (2)

Pieced Back Together

My fragmented reality,
I surfed with a compulsive heart;
Then Love's singular unity,
Pieced the fragments into one part.

My frenzied heart and mind were stilled;
Love's placid peace repelled the storm.
My emptiness would soon be filled;
I found Love's presence safe and warm.

When hearts escape chaotic churn,
In the stillness, peace will emerge.
By grace, Love flickers to a burn.
In Love, God's kingdom will converge.

Love is the channel of the Lord:
When we are tuned to His Spirit,
And follow the guide of His Word --
We are transformed as we near it.

Lord, keep my heart from fragmenting;
May Love not dim its flickering.
