By Faith, He Leads the Humble

"And without faith it is impossible to please Him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him." (1)

"And Jesus answered them, 'Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.'" (2)

Faith For the Journey

The plight of the man without faith,
Blown by the wind of circumstance:
With each burden, he's crushed beneath;
His destiny governed by chance

The flight of a man who's self-made,
Upon each opportunity,
Lasts until a burden is laid,
Which crushes his impunity.

The man who walks within God's will,
Who humbly obeys Master's call,
Is paced as he ascends the hill:
He endures patiently in all.

For God walks with the humble man,
And leads him each step of the way.
His destiny is in God's plan;
Each rise and fall -- Redemption's play!

Lord, teach me to humbly follow;
Each step into Your tomorrow.
