The Heart Of Purity

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." (1)

Pure Heart

The pure heart treasures chastity:
It forms the basis of its love;
When girded with humility,
It draws its strength from God above.

The pure heart treasures poverty:
When emptied of its self and things,
There's room to draw His Majesty
and all the treasures that He brings.

The pure heart is obedient:
It finds the way within God's will;
It follows the Omniscient:
Each step He'll lead; each need He'll fill.

The pure heart is a fragrant rose:
Petalled with love; perfumed with grace.
Through it, the beauty of God flows
Drawing each soul to His embrace!
