Everything from Nothing

"through the tender mercy of our God, when the day shall dawn upon us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." (1)

Into the darkness, I descend;
My soul assumes the cloak of night:
In the silence, my murmurs end;
My heart savors the lack of sight.

For in this void of emptiness,
The grace of Nada is outpoured:
My self descends to nothingness;
My soul ascends to be restored.

And in darkness the old will fade;
A new creation will emerge.
The light of Christ will be conveyed;
The dawn of life will crown the purge.

For Nada descends from above,
To draw the soul into the night;
To lose the self and gain all love --
A walk in darkness draws the light.

Trust in the Lord to lead the way;
Trust in the strength that Nada gives;
Enter this darkness when you pray
When the self dies; the Spirit lives!
