A Child's Mourning
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they
shall be comforted." 1
Mommy, Who Will Hold Me Now?
Mommy, who will wipe my tears
When my heart aches without control?
Mommy, who will soothe my fears
When I'm alone deep in my soul?
Mommy, who will mourn for me?
I'm too little to say good-bye.
Mommy, who can console me
And take away these tears I cry?
I feel so lost and so alone;
No words they say can comfort me.
But you have risen to God's throne:
You're happy for eternity.
Mommy, hold me from afar;
Send me an angel with your kiss.
When I look up and see your star,
I'll blow you my butterfly kiss.
