Treasure
"The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure
buried in a field, which a person finds and
hides again, and out of joy goes and sells
all that he has and buys that field. Again,
the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant
searching for fine pearls. When he finds
a pearl of great price, he goes and sells
all that he has and buys it." 1
Hidden Treasure
Pioneer of peace, in hostile desert,
Blazes a trail to my stony cold heart;
In search of my soul, His long-lost
treasure:
Creator of castles without measure.
From the stony cold heart footings
are hewn;
The pillars are raised; the cuttings
are
strewn.
The castle's created amidst shifting
sands:
Oasis of peace in Pioneer's hands.
The treasure of soul: His throne raised
on
earth:
A priceless palace of fathomless girth;
An outpost of heaven in wilderness
wrought:
The soul of his faithful eagerly sought.
Rising from the dust for eternity:
A living temple of the Trinity.
