Let Us Enter Into His Rest

"Peace, peace, to the far and to the near, says the LORD; and I will heal him. But the wicked are like the tossing sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters toss up mire and dirt. There is no peace, says my God, for the wicked." 1

"For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength." 2

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." 3

Drawn Into His Rest

I kneel before the place He dwells:
My mind He clears of each tempest;
My heart He stills; my soul He swells:
My whole being enters His rest.

My soul wells up with His presence;
Our hearts commune in love and peace.
I taste a drop of His essence;
To Him, my being, I release.

Beatitude sweeps me by grace,
To touch eternal joy and peace.
Though I am fixed by time and space,
Our Love eternal will not cease.

In peaceful love we are caressed,
When we are drawn into His rest.
