John 2:1-12
Jesus invites each of us into an ever-deepening
relationship with Him. He is the spiritual
Bridegroom of each soul.
"Then I heard something like the sound
of a great multitude or the sound of rushing
water or mighty peals of thunder, as they
said: 'Alleluia! The Lord has established
his reign, (our) God, the almighty. Let us
rejoice and be glad and give him glory. For
the wedding day of the Lamb has come, his
bride has made herself ready. She was allowed
to wear a bright, clean linen garment.' (The
linen represents the righteous deeds of the
holy ones.) Then the angel said to me, 'Write
this: Blessed are those who have been called
to the wedding feast of the Lamb.'"

The Wedding Feast
At the Cana wedding banquet,
His mother said, "The wine is
through".
Though His hour had not come yet,
She told them, "Do what He tells
you."
With plain water, the jars were filled;
The servers did what they were told.
By this sign, scripture was fulfilled
--
An abundance of wine then flowed.
Each soul's called to this wedding
feast,
As server in Bridegroom's employ:
With faith and love to serve the least,
Yielding an abundance of joy.
The Lamb builds love with unity;
His kingdom is community.
May the Bridegroom lead our souls to
serve
in union with Him and to build up His
kingdom
with faith and joyful charity.
