John 3:1-21

Jesus invites each of us to be born again in His Spirit, as children of God, innocent and pure.

"Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ is a child of God, and every one who loves the parent loves the child. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? … And the Spirit is the witness, because the Spirit is the truth… And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who has not the Son of God has not life." (1)

Born Of The Spirit

To see the kingdom of heaven,
Each person must be born again,
As God's child - this pure leaven
Reshapes the heart as bread from grain.

Those reborn in Spirit flow free
Like the wind, known, and yet unseen;
They follow Him through mystery,
By faith and trust with hearts made clean.

Those of the dark prefer the night;
Their sins hidden like heartwood rot.
Those of the truth come to the light;
Their deeds reflect what God has wrought.

For God loved the world so much,
He gave His Son as life for all;
That in His name, and by His touch,
They may believe and hear His call.

Each soul must journey in this way;
Eternal life begins today.


May we be reborn in the image of the Spirit of God, to be sensitive and responsive to the subtle prompting of His grace.
