Forever Friends
"Greater love has no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command
you. No longer do I call you servants, for
the servant does not know what his master
is doing; but I have called you friends,
for all that I have heard from my Father
I have made known to you. You did not choose
me, but I chose you and appointed you that
you should go and bear fruit and that your
fruit should abide; so that whatever you
ask the Father in my name, he may give it
to you. This I command you, to love one another."

A Friend For All Seasons
My Friend, You are the star-lit sky,
Which guides me through my wintry night:
You wipe each tear of my heart's cry;
You hold me through my deepest fright.
My Friend, You are the sun in spring,
That thaws me with its gentle rays:
Your warmth stills my heart's quivering;
Your eyes return my longing gaze.
My Friend You are the summer rain,
Refreshing my heart parched by trial:
Though life be rough with grief and pain,
You smooth it all with Your smile.
My Friend, You are the autumn breeze,
Which lifts me up when my heart lags:
You dance about with colored leaves --
Your simple joys escape my bags!
Through all the seasons, You impart,
Jesus, my Friend, You hold my heart.
