Saints United In His Love

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."1

"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with might through his Spirit in the inner man, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." 2

Communion of Hearts

The bridge of Christ joins heart to heart;
Through this channel, His Life will flow.
Though frail and weak, we keep apart;
Above our faults, His Love will show.

When we are gathered in His Name,
He dwells between us: Heart to heart.
In our weakness, we are the same --
Fraternal love He will impart.

Our hearts are joined to those risen;
They've gone before to light the way.
Their hearts are temples of heaven:
The Triune God's eternal stay.

We love each other with His Love.
He reigns our hearts through our rebirth.
In communion with hearts above,
His kingdom comes: heaven joins earth!

Eternally, our hearts pursue:
"Love each other as I love you".
