Reconciled
"Come now, let us set things right,
says the LORD: Though your sins be like scarlet,
they may become white as snow; Though they
be crimson red, they may become white as
wool." 1
"And he took a cup, and when he had
given thanks he gave it to them, saying,
"Drink of it, all of you; for this is
my blood of the covenant, which is poured
out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
2
"You have given me health and life;
thus is my bitterness transformed into peace.
You have preserved my life from the pit of
destruction, when you cast behind your back
all my sins." 3
I Confess
When I confess, I find my place:
Prostrate before the Mighty Lord.
When I confess, He sends His grace
--
A wondrous gift of love outpoured.
When I confess, my guilt will cease;
My burden of sin is removed.
When I confess, He sends His peace:
My wounds are healed; my hurt is soothed.
When I confess, I do resolve
To be faithful to Love again.
When I confess, He does dissolve
My enmity to God and men.
I open my heart's door a crack,
When I confess my weight of sin.
He casts my sins behind His back;
His light and love come flooding in.
He purifies me: heart and soul;
When I confess, He makes me whole!
