One Body in Christ
"There is one body and one Spirit, just
as you were called to the one hope that belongs
to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
one God and Father of us all, who is above
all and through all and in all."1
"The cup of blessing which we bless,
is it not a participation in the blood of
Christ? The bread which we break, is it not
a participation in the body of Christ? Because
there is one bread, we who are many are one
body, for we all partake of the one bread."2
"He is the image of the invisible God,
the first-born of all creation; for in him
all things were created, in heaven and on
earth, visible and invisible,…all things
were created through him and for him. He
is before all things, and in him all things
hold together. He is the head of the body,
the church; he is the beginning, the first-born
from the dead, that in everything he might
be pre-eminent. For in him all the fullness
of God was pleased to dwell, and through
him to reconcile to himself all things, whether
on earth or in heaven, making peace by the
blood of his cross." 3

Our Mother Church
Hid in the desert of this life,
Our Mother Church protects her womb
From serpent strike, from storm and strife;
She keeps her children from the tomb.
The Womb of Life is safe and warm,
She shields our souls through the dark night.
Creator's hand will knit and form
Our souls into children of light.
Our souls unite in truth and love;
Forming the body of the Son.
His flesh is manna from above;
By His blood our hearts beat as one.
With strength of hope and faith's pure light
Our souls are led along the Way:
Merciful Love burns in the night
Transforming darkness into day.
One day we will see our rebirth
As new beings enrobed in grace.
He'll build a new heaven and earth:
The Father's house will be our place!
His peace and joy will overflow
From death and sin, we will be free.
Love's rich treasures He will bestow
On His children eternally!
