A Life of Love

"Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; never be conceited…If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all." (1)

Live Love

Live love with a refreshing joy
That flows from the wellspring within;
A heart that sings will soon destroy
The crushing weight of guilt and sin.

Live love from a center of peace;
Anchor your heart to brave the storm.
When wind and rushing wave won't cease,
Peace will preserve; new strength will form.

Live love with a lighthouse of prayer
Which beacons truth through the dark night.
Into doubt's darkness and despair,
The Spirit shines to set things right.

Live love with all simplicity:
Recall the innocence of youth,
And strive for pure humility --
A simple heart dwells in the truth.

Live love and you will be alive;
Love life and your spirit will thrive!
