Walking Home
"Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If
any man would come after me, let him deny
himself and take up his cross and follow
me.'" 1
Follow Me
Carry no purse; your sandals hold;
Follow my heart where I may lead.
Look to His hand in ev'ry need.
Put on your cloak -- the desert's cold.
Into the night I'll call your name.
Follow me close; lose not the way.
Prepare the cell -- I'm here to stay.
Follow me home -- your soul's my claim.
Onto the cross, we'll nail your will;
We'll keep the sinful self at bay.
We'll lift His Word to light the way.
We'll hold His Love -- Love is our
fill!
United in our family bond,
Within the cloister of the heart,
With hearts made pure, our prayer is
art
--
Of children's hearts, He is so fond!
Carry no purse; fasten your belt;
Follow my lead in sacrifice:
Serve with great love -- grace will
suffice;
Ignite the flame -- Mercy will melt.
