Planting the Kingdom

"Jesus answered, 'Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.'" 1

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of food and drink, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the holy Spirit;" 2

"But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God." 3

"Again he said, 'To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed (in) with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch of dough was leavened.'" 4

Seeds Of The Kingdom

Look to the light of heaven,
Not to the darkened earth,
To seek the Kingdom's leaven:
The faith of your re-birth.

Look to the hope you're given,
The promise of new life;
Your sins, they are forgiven --
Mercy will win this strife!

The love of Christ will guide you
To each soul that you meet;
The Master walks beside you
To wash your neighbor's feet.

In peace you'll find the treasure;
With prayer you'll buy the field,
And sow seed without measure --
Expecting heaven's yield.
