The Father Will Provide
Are not five sparrows sold for two small
coins? Yet not one of them has escaped the
notice of God. Even the hairs of your head
have all been counted. Do not be afraid.
(Luke 12:6-7)
For the Lord of all shows no partiality,
nor does He fear greatness, …He Himself
made
the great as well as the small, and
He provides
for all alike. (Wisdom 6:7-8)
But if any of you lacks wisdom, he
should
ask God who gives to all generously
and ungrudgingly,
and he will be given it. (James 1:5)
Tell the rich in the present age not
to be
proud and not to rely on so uncertain
a thing
as wealth but rather on God, who richly
provides
us with all things for our enjoyment.
(1
Timothy 6:17)
He said to (his) disciples, "Therefore
I tell you, do not worry about your life
and what you will eat, or about your body
and what you will wear. For life is more
than food and the body more than clothing.
(Luke 12:22-23)
If God so clothes the grass in the field
that grows today and is thrown into the oven
tomorrow, will He not much more provide for
you, O you of little faith? (Luke 12:28)
Can any of you by worrying add a moment to
your life span? If even the smallest things
are beyond your control, why are you anxious
about the rest? (Luke 12:25-26)
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will
take care of itself. Sufficient for a day
is its own evil. (Matthew 6:34)
Instead, seek His kingdom, and these other
things will be given you besides. Do not
be afraid any longer, little flock, for your
Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.
(Luke 12:31-32)
Like a shepherd He feeds his flock; in His
arms He gathers the lambs, Carrying them
in His bosom, and leading the ewes with care.
(Isaiah 40:11)
I call to God Most High, to God who provides
for me. (Psalm 57:3)
