II
Do not use the name of the Lord in vain (Exodus 20:7)
You shall not take the name of the Lord,
your God, in vain. For the Lord will not
leave unpunished him who takes His name in
vain. (Exodus 20:7)
Come, each one of you, destroy your
idols!
Then listen to Me, and never again
profane
My holy name with your gifts and your
idols.
(Ezekiel 20:39)
Let them all praise the Lord's name,
for
His name alone is exalted, majestic
above
earth and heaven. (Psalm 148:13)
"If they ask me, 'What is His
name?'
what am I to tell them?" God replied,
"I AM who am." (Exodus 3:13-14)
God greatly exalted Him and bestowed
on Him
the name that is above every name,
that at
the name of Jesus every knee should
bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and
under
the earth, and every tongue confess
that
Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory
of God
the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)
There is no salvation through anyone
else,
nor is there any other name under heaven
given to the human race by which we
are to
be saved." (Acts 4:12)
This is how you are to pray: Our Father
in
heaven, hallowed be Your name. (Matthew 6:9)
And whatever you do, in word or in
deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord
Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through
Him.
(Colossians 3:17)
I will praise You with all my heart,
glorify
Your name forever, Lord my God. (Psalm 86:12)
